An advanced artificial stomach. A set of sensors and chemical synthesizers effectively digest any energy-bearing foodstuff. An integrated lattice-dust healing system automatically repairs any damage caused by the powerful acids. It is better than a biological stomach in every way.

A bionic stomach is an organ replacement that has 125% efficiency, and increases metabolism by 12.5% (metabolism is the average of stomach and liver efficiency).
Bionic stomachs can be crafted at a Fabrication bench once the Bionic replacements research project has been completed. They require 10 Plasteel, 3 Advanced components, 26,000 ticks (7.22 mins) of work, and a Crafting skill of 8.
A bionic stomach improves a pawn's metabolism by 12.5%. This, in turn, improves the rest rate multiplier by 3.75%, meaning the colonist will require slightly less sleep. All artificial stomachs are immune to gut worms, and installing one will instantly cure the disease. Eating capacity, eating speed, and food poisoning chances are unaffected.
If the operation fails, the part has a chanceto be destroyed.
Of the bionic-level parts in the game, the bionic stomach offers one of the weakest improvements to a pawn. It gives a 3.75% increase in sleep efficiency, or, for a standard 8 hour sleep cycle, a savings of just over 17 minutes/day - a 1.8% increase in waking hours/day. Gut worms isn't often a major threat for a colony that can make or buy bionic parts. But as there's still an improvement, spare bionic stomach is still worth installing (unlike functionally equivalent "replacements" like the bionic spine).
The bionic heart (if not already installed) is superior to the stomach, as it improves sleep efficiency by 8%, but is slightly more expensive. A stomach is still cheaper than royal bed, and doesn't have the massive power costs of a sleep accelerator. All four options can be used together, so the only downside is cost.

The Royalty DLC introduced a number of Stomach replacements with their own advantages and disadvantages. All three of these variants include the benefits offered by the bionic stomach in addition to their unique benefits however they are also susceptible to EMP, causing the pawn to vomit uncontrollably for a short length of time.
In addition to the normal benefits of a bionic stomach, the sterilizing stomach eliminates the risk of food poisoning at the cost of vulnerability to EMP.
In addition to the normal benefits of a bionic stomach, the reprocessor stomach reduces the amount of food a pawn requires by 25% at the cost of vulnerability to EMP.
In addition to the normal benefits of a bionic stomach, the nuclear stomach combines the benefits of both the sterilizing and reprocessor stomachs, reduces the amount of food a pawn requires by a whopping 75% and eliminating the risk of food poisoning at the cost of vulnerability to EMP and inflicting torso cancer on average once 120 in-game days.
|Stomach||Cost||Metabolism||Hunger Rate||Food poisoning||Gut Worms||EMP||Carcinoma||Market Value|
|Bionic stomach||10+ 3||1.125x||1x||785|
|Sterilizing stomach||15+ 4||1.125x||1x||1,030|
|Reprocessor stomach||15+ 4||1.125x||0.75x||1,030|
|Nuclear stomach||15+ 4||1.125x||0.25x||1,030|
