The bedroll is a furniture item which pawns can sleep in. They can be made from any textile. Bedrolls provide better comfort and rest effectiveness than a sleeping spot, but are generally inferior to beds of the same quality.

Bedrolls are mainly useful for caravans. When resting, members will automatically use bedrolls in caravan inventory, improving their comfort regeneration, rest efficiency, and healing rates.

To add bedrolls to a caravan, you must first construct them like a regular bed. After a bedroll has been built, select it and choose the Uninstall option available for all types of Furniture. It will go into regular storage and be available in the items tab when you are forming the caravan.

Rest effectiveness varies by quality.

Material Awful Poor Normal Good Excellent Masterwork Legendary
Rest effectiveness 81.7% 87.4% 95% 102.6% 108.3% 118.75% 152%

Note that they're inferior to beds for comfort, and inferior to beds of the same quality for rest effectiveness, but slightly superior to beds of one quality level below. Thus, using particularly high quality bedrolls has merit if the decreased comfort is acceptable.

Version History

Prior to version 1.0 they had no quality, a rest effectiveness of 0.93 and a comfort of 0.6
