ToC is too long to be usable[edit]

Title. The page is in need of some TLC anyway but its unlikely to reduce the page length. Some other solution is needed for the table of contents but nothing comes to mind. Thoughts? Harakoni (talk) 05:00, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Late, but my idea would be to split this page into Events (Anything that is randomly generated by the storyteller, minus Quests) and Letters (Everything else). There is a clear difference between a Raid and Roof Collapse; the former can happen at (almost) any time, while the latter only happens when something in the map destroys a roof. Care will have to be taken to go through all the links to Events and make sure they're directing to the right place, but I'm happy with that solution personally. Harakoni (Wiki Moderator) (talk) 06:41, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

Prison break is doubled up[edit]

Prisoner#Prison break and Events#Prison break both exist, cover largely the same content, and don't interlink with each other. Both have a good claim to hosting the information (feel free to add your own):

Prisoner Pros Events Pros
Shorter, more manageable page Already collates all other events, if exceptions allowed, undermines point and utility of the page
Likely first port of call for new searcher Experienced wiki users will check collated events

There are 3 readily apparent potential solutions:

  1. Cull entry on Prisoner, and leave a heading, summary, and link to Events
  2. Cull entry on Events, and leave a heading, summary, and link to Prisoner
  3. Templatize - have both pages with the same content via a template to ensure both pages always have the same content and don't miss updates. More convoluted and foreign to inexperienced editors, but also allows the content to exist on both pages.

Opinions, additions to options and pros list, etc all welcome. - Harakoni (Wiki Moderator) (talk) 12:06, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
