Sorry for the late response, but I just got back from work.

There are some tools for mass renaming text on MediaWiki, but unfortunately I think this overhaul will have to be done by hand. Luckily, everything that needs to be moved to a new category will be in the current category, so we'll have a list of stuff that needs to move. I'll try to pitch in when I'm off work. It'll be a good way to cleanse out outdated pages and pages that need deleting anyway.
