Hey, Zesty! Hope you are having a nice and awesome day right now! I've been looking through the RimWorld wiki for a while and got interested why there are no translations to other languages. I'm terribly sorry, if this question was somewhere answered and I make you read this message for nothing, but I want to provide a bit more specific details.

I'm 23 and am working with and contributing to the wikis that are classified as official Wikimedia projects. It means I'm somewhat familiar with the general concepts of how MediaWiki works as a wiki-engine. And I can't see here any other language sections but English (at least I'm dumb enought not to notice them). Maybe for a reason, I don't know, that's why I'm texting you. At the same time I'm proficient and fluent in Russian, for it is my first language. I work as an English teacher, play RimWorld a lot and therefore can offer my translating skills. Not a mystery the game's got a tremendous amount of Russian-speaking fans and players. Thankfully, it's the game that has already got its own translation to Russian that can be (or have to be) successfully used in creating Russian articles of RimWorld wiki.

I know that there is a Russian RimWorld wiki on Fandom (just as an English RimWorld wiki does), but I like the way how MediaWiki works and does the things more, than Fandom. Mentioned earlier, I'm familiarised with the engine. Additionally, I know that creating a whole new language wiki section is not a one-night-task, there gotta be a solid ground to do that. And, repeating myself, I'm offering some of my time and energy to help you to begin creating content for the Russian language wiki section.

Summarising, I want to ask: "Is it possible to create the Russian language section of RimWorld wiki? If yes, please, tell me, what can I do to help you make this happen?"

Hi Zedmond. Thanks, I hope your day is going well.

About translations: there was a translation plugin early into the wiki's history, but it was fairly broken and there were very few people keeping pages up to date.

I'm all for having people translate the wiki into their native languages. The barriers are technical (actually finding a translation plugin that's well-supported and not a nightmare to maintain), motivational (the wiki is massive now and there's a lot to translate), and moderational (both myself and others can't moderate pages in languages I can't speak).

Regarding the first barrier (the technical one), it sounds like you would have more experience than I do with wiki translation -- if you're able to identify a plugin that works well (both technically and workflow-wise), then I'd be happy to implement it.
