So heres the beginning. I looked up details on the correct formatting of names (such as nouns, specifically video games) and it suggests doing italicized. Does this 'look' right to anyone? Does anybody even follow standard writing practices when referencing names and the such? I definitely like it, though it violates some of the normal styling of the MediaWiki. But it has a basic list of useful topics, which I think is really critical. Would also be good to have a place for random screenshots, as British says. I think it should be adaptive width, like all pages, though you could set a maximum like at http://dwarffortresswiki.org/.<br>--

This is interesting and much cleaner (that's actually easy ^^).

A few things, though:

* The width is not adaptative, so it's getting "out of the screen" for lower resolutions (not everyone is using 1920x1080 and a browser in fullscreen ;p)

* The Links and About from the actual main page need to be there in one form or another

* It would also be nice to have a place to have a random screenshot (I need to upload a few) from a gallery (that thus needs to be created), and one for videos (need to have a bunch of the ones on YouTube)

* I'm supposed to start revamping the pages by creating a menu like the Architect Menu in-game (with images)... I haven't had much luck freeing some time for this as of late, though, but that has to be taken into account

* Some pages we see on "Wiki community" need to be disposed of: they're remnants of my import from Wikia

*Regarding "News & Updates", I'd love to have Tynan managing some kind of changelog that we could use... I believe he's planning to do it at some point, but the sooner he does it, the easier it will be in the end

* The "Welcome" text and area needs some reworking, as it doesn't fit the cleanness of the rest of the page (at least the links at the top can be moved to/kept from the actual Link section)

:I agree. Although if it was up to me I'd re-jiggle the Sidebar quite a bit, to make it more in line with the system Wikipedia and most other wikis use. So we'd have Main page, Community Portal, Admin noticeboard, Recent changes and Random page up top. Then other "tabs" underneath, such as an Official sites (or something) which also includes the Discord. Below that we could have the most important pages, whatever we deem that to be. Makes it easier to navigate for users when they're not on the main page. Here is an example of what it might look like: [https://i.imgur.com/NMGTrwO.png Image].

The main page is completely filled with text, hard to read, and in my opinion, aesthetically unpleasing. Maybe each topic should be in <big>big font</big> to be easier to see, and each specific page could be under a dropdown menu? Having a big font would also allow for us to add a small icon to the left of each of the major topics, the ones at the bottom of the screen in Rimworld when there are too many menus, which would look better than plain Arial text.

[[Template:Daily_Tip]] was initially designed to be used on the Main Page, just to display the [[Loading screen]] tips (the ones in-game, not custom made ones) and add a little interest. It stagnated in part because there was no way to ensure that the page would get reloaded often enough to not just display the same tip all the time, but traffic might be sufficient to justify it.
