== Summary ==
The kid tribalwear is a [[Children|child]]-sized version of the regular [[tribalwear]]. It can only be worn by pawns between the ages of 3 and 13.

== Analysis ==
Just like tribalwear, it is one of the primary ways to occupy the skin layer. It is the only option for initially available for [[New Tribe]]s, with other options locked behind the [[Research#Complex clothing|Complex Clothing]] research project. [[New Arrivals]] begin with this research, and can instead create [[kid romper]]s or sets of [[kid shirt]] and [[kid pants]] to clothe their children.

Kid tribalwear is the cheapest and most insulating option, but the least protective:
* Compared to the kid romper, kid tribalwear does not cover the shoulders, arms, or legs, but it has +40% better heat insulation and +28% cold insulation. Both have the same armor rating and cost the same material, though the romper takes slightly more work to make.
* Compared to kid shirt + kid pants, kid tribalwear does not cover the shoulders or legs, but it has +32% better heat insulation and +8% cold insulation. Both sets have the same armor rating. The shirt and pants set costs {{Icon Small|stuff}} 10 [[textile]] more, and takes slightly more work to make.

Due to the low protection of skin-layer apparel, even when made out of materials like [[devilstrand]], the differences between all 3 sets are very small. As children are frail, should avoid combat anyways (or at least, avoid getting hit in combat), and a slightly higher armor rating doesn't mitigate this. As kid tribalwear is cheaper and more insulating, it is often the best choice.
