:I agree with this, although it applies even more to the Basics guide. That guide seems to cover just about everything in the game and is half a book long, so it doesn't really fit under the basics moniker. Thank you again for restructuring and updating these guides. It's a pretty big task, so I think we all salute you :) Pangaea (talk) 20:12, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

IMHO a lot of smaller articles must be broken out of all these guides and put on their own pages, for example: articles on kitchens, prisons, bedrooms, base design archetypes, efficient crafting etc. etc.  These articles might need their own category.  They would be like mini-guides, focusing on one very specific area.  Then, the main guides can become a lot more concise and readable.  It will make it also easier to edit this stuff, when new people come in and add their ideas in some random place.  You can keep the contributions without deleting them (which is usually quite rude and demotivating for contributors). Revision as of 21:20, 5 September 2019

There are a couple of issues with this guide:

 • contains a lot more than just "quick start" information
 • has no images
 • in general a little too wordy

A good "quick start" guide needs to get the player up to speed: 1-2-3-done, without having to read much and filter out information that is not relevant.

I am planning to edit this page towards that end.
