Raw fungus obtained by harvesting fungi growing in caves.
When used in food recipes (e.g. a fine meal), raw fungus is classified as a vegetable.
In RimWorld core it cannot be farmed, making it at best a random and situational source of vegetables.
However, in the Ideology DLC, fungus is now possible to be farmed by harvesting nutrifungus
. Colonists with the "Tunneler" meme get a +6 mood bonus when eaten raw and a +6 mood bonus for cooked. The other side of this is the Fungus precept that makes all non-Tunneler colonists despise the taste of fungus and gives a -6 mood penalty to them when eaten raw and a -3 mood penalty for cooked.
