Gear includes items that are worn, equipped, or carried. These include:
- Weapons
- Utility items
- Apparel - clothing and armor
- Inventory items, such as drugs, medicine, and meals. Does not include hauled items, but items packed by a caravan do count.
From the gear tab, you can drop items or use food. Dropping equipped items (weapons, utility, apparel) is not an instant process. Equipping apparel also has a delay. Multiple drops can be queued while holding ⇧ Shift and clicking.
The gear tab also lists 2 stats:
- Mass carried.
- Comfortable temperature range, based on apparel worn
