A flatscreen television that is more entertaining than a tube television, but still 1 tier lower than the megascreen television. Effective in a 5x6 area in front of the object. The flatscreen television has an entertainment strength factor of 140%.
As of 0.19 the flatscreen television can be crafted by colonists with a construction level 8 or higher with 140 steel and 16 components.
Flatscreen televisions placed facing hospital beds can allow recovering pawns to watch TV for recreational purposes. This can be very useful, as bed-bound pawns have very few options for recreation otherwise (others require interaction), and joy-less colonists suffer terrible mood penalties.
