You may get a lot of requests for various things, and I know that at least 1 person has asked for this, but when are you, if you are, going to release a pack of updated images for the wiki's use? I have made a few pages about things and have... "images" for them, but they are nowhere near what should be on an official wiki. I am making do with images taken from gameplay at the moment, but they could be much, MUCH, better with official images. If you don't release official images, that's your thing and this is your wiki. If nothing else, say if you are and when. Thanks.
P.S. If I missed a public update or something similar relating to the topic, sorry for bothering you and a redirect or link would be appreciated.
You can extract images yourself using a basic Unity unpacker and programs like ImageMagick or Photoshop.
Please don't upload really hastily cut out/low quality images to the wiki in the future.
I am unable to find any location where images, such as the ones that were given to the wiki. I have looked in the Rimworld folder under AppData and the install folder. I would greatly appreciate it if you had anything to say about this and I will replace all images I have uploaded to the wiki. My apologies for that.
Like I said, use a Unity Asset Extractor ( e.g. http://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36 ), tick on 'TEX to DDS', and use an program that can convert either .tex files or .dds files to .png files.
RimWorld's resources are located in the .assets files under RimWorldxyzWin/RimWorldxyzWin_Data/resources.assets. This will differ a little if you have the Mac or Linux versions, but it should give you a good idea.
I uploaded the missing plant sprites to the Wiki already.
OK, I greatly appreciate your assistance. It took a while, but I managed to find everything I needed. I will spend some time looking around for missing images and make more contributions to the wiki in my free time. Thanks a lot.
P.S. I am using an application called Paint.Net for the uploads of the images. It is working nicely so far and is free. Don't know if you care, but you never know.
Also, I have a few questions about how to use the wiki itself. Shall we continue our conversations on your page, do you not care, or do you just want to stop? If I am getting a little annoying with my failure to understand, I could probably find out what I need to on my own. Either way, there are a few questions about things such as icon I would like to ask.
