Weather

There are 5 main types of weather in RimWorld


Clear

  • Time of year: Any
  • Wind: None - Moderate


Rain

  • Time of year: Any
  • Wind: Calm - Moderate

Rain intensity can vary. Rain will put out any outdoor fires on the map

Rain will turn into snow if the temperature falls below +2 degrees Celsius


Fog

  • Time of year: Any
  • Wind: None - Calm

Fog can be normal and dense.


Thunderstorm

  • Time of year: Any
  • Wind: Moderate - Extreme

Thunderstorms can be either 'Dry' or 'Rainy'

Lightning strikes from thunderstorms can ignite flammable objects (including flora). Not a real risk during a rainy thunderstorm however

  • Wind: None - Moderate
